Refusing to Grow Up…

...You could say it’s a hobby of mine. No wait, scratch that. It’s actually a full-time profession. And like a petulant child, I don’t really care that social convention dictates I ought to take out a mortgage, get life insurance and put the roller skates away, I refuse to put on my “big boy” pants.

So, I found a place where they welcome such defiant heathens; where they encourage mature-challenged individuals and people suffering from severe cases of Peter Pan Complex. This magical place is called Monkido Aerial Adventure.

Picture an obstacle course that’s set in the trees…where you have to navigate rope swings, cargo nets, zip lines, wobbly bridges and more! Hovering high above the ground, you get to challenge your fear of heights while having a blast tackling the various feats of strength, agility and courage.

Robin Hood and his merry men definitely had the right idea…

I had such a fantastic time (I even saw deer crossing the road on the way there) that I’ll definitely be going back for more, and I highly recommend that if you’re seeking an adventure that will keep a smile plastered on your face for at least 36 hours afterwards, don’t wait any longer and go free your inner child at Wild Play Monkido!

Check out all the info at: WildPlay Element Parks

And then go and Monkisee, Monkido!

DO IT!

RE2PECT

Even if you're not a baseball fan, I'm sure you've heard the name "Derek Jeter." One of the best of our time, he has definitely earned his place among the greats.

What I love about this guy is not only is he one of the most talented players the game has ever seen (just check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCUMXpU6N3k ), he is the embodiment of a true athlete. Jeter has grace, good humor and sportsmanship in spades. Throughout his remarkable career, he steered clear of controversy as well as steroids, he avoided a gold-digging marriage and he always respected the game, his teammates, his opponents and himself.

And he's very easy on the eyes ;)

Sadly, this is his last year in the Show.  He will be retiring from Major League Baseball after the 2014 season. Yesterday marked his last appearance in the All-Star game, but he will always remain an all-star.

So check out this shout-out to #2, Mr. Derek Jeter as we bid him a fond farewell.

He will be missed!

World Cup Fever - Winner Stays ON

It's called "The Beautiful Game."  And for very good reason (see below, haha).

World Cup Fever is well underway and although I've had to endure the elimination of both of my teams: Italy (dad) and Portugal (mom); there's still lots of beautiful game to watch.

And on those empty days of rest between matches, here's something to hold you over...my very favorite commercial of the year so far and by far....featuring the greatest football player in the UNIVERSE (he's a little bit GREEN with envy though)...

Just like boot camp...the winner stays ON!

Enjoy!
